Kothagudem: As per the Central government instructions to reduce import of coal and to increase usage of swadeshi coal, Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) started a special portal on its official website on Thursday. Company Director (Planning & Projects) B Bhaskar Rao and Director (Operations &PAW) S Chandrashekar Inaugurated the portal.

Explaining about the portal, the Directors said that the present portal will aim at customer friendly transactions by easing out the process of purchasing coal. In the present system, the present, prospective and new customers can easily access the portal for procuring required quality of coal at any grade of their choice by the Rail & Road loading points. Quality is given utmost importance and Singareni is ready to supply any quantity of coal and if necessary, efforts will be made to increase coal production as well, they added.

In tune with the changes in coal market in country, Singareni has simplified coal sales and started the portal. G- 8 grade and G-15 grade coal is kept ready at Singareni CHPs and loading points at mines. Now customers can purchase coal as per their requirement through this portal, the Directors explained. Present customers with linkage; prospective customers, who don't have linkage; and new customers can also procure coal by registering their names in this portal, they added.

ED (Coal movement) J Allwyn, General Manager (Marketing & CDN) K Ravishankar, General Manager (CPP) K Nagabushan Reddy, General Manager (Quality) G Venkateshwar Reddy, DGM (Marketing) NV Rajashekar, DGM (Marketing) Tadaboina Srinivas Rao, DGM (Marketing) Marepalli Venkateshwarlu and other officials participated in the programme.
