Hyderabad : TRS working president K T Rama Rao on Tuesday said that though the party had won with huge margin in Medak, the majority was decreased in Siddipet, which is represented by Harish Rao.

In an informal interaction with media, Rama Rao said that there is no truth in the argument that Harish Rao was kept aside in the party. He recalled that though Medak candidate got huge margin, the majority for the party decreased in Siddipet.

KTR said that farmers were not the reason for defeat of K Kavitha. He said that they were not farmers but political party leaders. The Congress and BJP leaders collided in the election. Rao said that both he and Kavitha have faced many setbacks and one defeat would not demoralise them.

Rao said that he does not feel that he failed as the working president of the party. He pointed out that BJP had won in the entire country. Even the BJP leaders would not have thought that they would win Adilabad. In Serilingampally the BJP got 50000 votes. Rahul Gandhi and other big leaders like Devegowda have also lost the election.

KTR further said that there would have been no difference even if TRS would have won 16 seats as BJP got majority on its own.
