The accused Srinivas who is said to be a native of Yadadri-Bhongir district tried to rape the girl when she was sleeping with her family on the terrace on Wednesday. The police arrested him and sent him to remand.
On Wednesday, a nine-month-old baby was raped and killed in Hanamkonda of erstwhile Warangal district.
The accused identified as Praveen, kidnapped the child while she was sleeping on the terrace of her house along with her parents. He took her to an isolated place and raped and murdered her.
