Man murders wife in Palvoncha
A man, suspecting the fidelity of his wife, had beaten her to death at Sitarampatnam area in Palvoncha town in the district on Friday. The deceased was identified as Kandukuri Aruna (30). Her husband, Kandukuri Shiva, hit her with a stick causing critical injuries on her head.
Palvoncha (Kothagudem): A man, suspecting the fidelity of his wife, had beaten her to death at Sitarampatnam area in Palvoncha town in the district on Friday. The deceased was identified as Kandukuri Aruna (30). Her husband, Kandukuri Shiva, hit her with a stick causing critical injuries on her head.
The incident was said to have taken place at around 2 am on Friday and the locals who heard the victim's cries alerted the police. Palvoncha CI D Ramesh and others visited the spot and shifted the body to local government hospital for treatment.
The CI informed the media that the accused Shiva, who ran away after killing his wife, was arrested and produced before the court. A case of murder under IPC Section 302 was booked against him.
The accused is said to have been suspecting the fidelity of his wife and sometime ago a panchayat meeting was also held in the presence of family elders to resolve the matter, the police said.
