A man who ordered food from a restaurant in the city has refused to take it from a Muslim delivery executive.

Ajay Kumar, a native of Adilabad district has ordered food from Bawarchi restaurant at Falaknuma and instructed to Swiggy to deliver the order, "Very less spicy... And please select Hindu delivery person. All Ratings will be based on this."

However, the delivery was assigned to Mudassir Omar, who called up the customer for location. After learning the delivery boy's name, Ajay rejected the order. He then spoke to Swiggy customer care representatives and reprimanded them for assigning Muslim delivery boy despite the clear instructions given to them.

Ajay further agreed to pay Rs 95 as a cancellation fee and said that he will never accept a food order from a Muslim. And also threatened to delete the app forever.

Though the incident took place on Monday, it came to light on Wednesday after Mudassir brought it to the notice of Amzadullah Khan, president of a political party Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT). Amzadullah Khan asked Swiggy to lodge a complaint with the police for creating differences between Hindus and Muslims.
