Minister Jagadish inspects repairs of SRSP canals in Suryapet

Nagaram (Suryapet): Minister for Energy G Jagadish Reddy stated that barren lands of Suryapet district are becoming fertile with SRSP Kaleshwaram Godavari waters.
On Friday, along with Tungaturthy MLA Gadari Kishore Kumar and officials concerned, Minister Jagadish Reddy inspected the canals status of SRSP distributor branch main canal (6R) passing through the outskirts of Nagaram village.
He enquired the officials concerned about the repairs of canals to reach water to tail-end farmers under SRSP canal rejuvenation programme. As many as 320 village ponds have been brimming with Kaleshwaram Godavari waters. He thanked CM KCR over his special interest in SRSP which is providing water to drought-prone areas of the State. Local farmers accompanied the Minister and MLA and expressed their pleasure over providing Godavari waters to their lands.
