Congress MLC T Jeevan Reddy on Saturday has strongly condemned the brutal gang-rape and murder of veterinary doctor Priyanka Reddy and demanded death sentence to the accused.
Hyderabad: Congress MLC T Jeevan Reddy on Saturday has strongly condemned the brutal gang-rape and murder of veterinary doctor Priyanka Reddy and demanded death sentence to the accused.
Addressing the media, he said that no action has been taken on the statement made by the chief minister that a special act would be brought for the security of the women.
Though the chief minister said that eyes of the persons, who ogles at the women would be removed, nothing has happened, he stated.
The MLC alleged that the police were negligent over the complaint made by the parents of Priyanka Reddy. The government should take the responsibility for the incident.
He said that it was surprising to note that the Police Commissioner stated that there was no negligence of the police. It was ironical on the part of the chief minister for not responding on the issue.
