Nagarkurnool: New members of Kollapur Market Committee take oath
Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy took part in the oath-taking ceremony of newly-elected market committee members in Kollapur on Friday.
Nagarkurnool: Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy took part in the oath-taking ceremony of newly-elected market committee members in Kollapur on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the Chief Minister has been working hard to ensure that every farmer gets irrigation water.
"Through all these years, the farmers in Telangana were completely ignored by the successive governments in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. But after the formation of Telangana, the Chief Minister is committed to provide irrigation water to every single acre in the State. The main objective of our government is to see that no land goes barren due to non-availability of water and no person should be without work," said the Minister.
On the occasion, the Minister along with Nagarkurnool District Agriculture Officer administered oath to Gunreddy Narender Reddy, who is elected as new chairman of Kollapur Market Committee.
Apart from Narender Reddy, the officials also administered oath to 13 other members who were elected as directors of Kollapur Market Committee. Kollapur MLA Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy and other TRS leaders attended the event.
