Andhol/Narsapur: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Wednesday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi could not live up to the expectations of the people of the country and proved to be an utter flop despite having complete majority.

Addressing election campaign for the Zaheerabad Lok Sabha constituency in Andhol, Chandrashekar Rao said that people had seen Congress and BJP. Both were targeting each other as if they had not ruled the country. "We have seen the rule of Congress and BJP. There were expectations from Modi but he failed miserably. He did nothing for the country. Till yesterday he was Chaiwala and now he is Chowkidar... is this the drama people need," asked KCR.

KCR alleged that Modi was talking big but there is no 24-hour power supply in Gujarat. The prime minister has copied the Rythu Bandhu scheme of the State government. KCR said that the Congress and BJP leaders were targeting each other only to divert the attention of the voters.

"Rahul Gandhi says, Modi is 'Chor' (thief). Modi says Rahul is a bada chor (big thief). We should not get confused.... what is this 'tamasha'? Who ruled the country? These two have ruled the country and now confusing people with their rhetoric. The Congress leaders say we have joined with BJP and the BJP leaders say we are siding with Congress. We don't need to join anyone... we are agents of people and people of Telangana are our bosses... we will follow their agenda," said Rao.

KCR targeted Congress chief Rahul Gandhi for his Nyay scheme aiming to remove poverty. "While I was studying degree, Indira Gandhi (former Prime Minister) gave a call for Garibi Hatao, later Rajiv Gandhi, PV Narasimha Rao and Manmohan Singh could not remove this poverty and now the grandson of Indira Gandhi also talks about 'Garibi Hatao'.

This is the bankrupt thinking of the Congress leaders," said KCR. He also targeted BJP chief Amit Shah stating that his party did not deposit Rs 15 lakh in accounts of people as promised before 2014 elections. He said that these were election 'jumlas' and asked the people not to get confused with such jumlas.

KCR said if the state needs to get developed, first the country has to get developed. "The country needs to have good policies. We are listening stories about the facilities in America and Japan... for how long we have to hear this? What people seek? They want basic amenities education, health, power, still these are not addressed.

Dalits say they are discriminated, Tribals say they are not taken care of, Muslims and Christians are unhappy, farmers unhappy," said Rao.Rao said that if people ensure victory of TRS in 16 seats, this would result in speeding up of development of the country. "Solving issues locally, I will partner in the development of the country by bringing up pro-farmers, pro-people's policies and progressive agenda," said Rao.

Regarding Zaheerabad, the chief minister said that if the National Investment and Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) gets completed, it can create two lakh jobs. The water would be provided from Kaleshwaram project irrigating seven lakh acres in Zaheerabad.

Rao said that the surveys showed that TRS was going to get 16 Lok Sabha seats and Kotha Prabhakar Reddy is likely to get the highest majority in the state.
