A man from Hyderabad had a narrow escape after gunfire at him in Chicago in the US when he was driving back to his home after the job.

A man from Hyderabad had a narrow escape after gunfire at him in Chicago in the US when he was driving back to his home after the job. He was identified as Syed Siraj Mehdi (30) from Chanchalguda in the city. He escaped unhurt in the incident.

The incident took place on December 4 but came to light on Friday when the victim's father learned about the incident through MBT leader Amjed Ullah Khan. According to the victim's mother, Siraj is said to have been staying at home in the suburbs of Chicago since the incident.

It is learned that Siraj was in shock after the gunfire at him and concealed the matter from his parents even though he called them twice after the incident.

The incident took place while the victim was going home when some persons in two cars chased him and tried to force him to park his car. The persons gun fired at Siraj when he evaded them. However, the bullets hit his car and he was safe.

The matter was brought to the external affairs minister S Jaishankar and Indian ambassador to the US and Indian Consulate general in Chicago by the MBT leader who urged them to investigate the matter with US authorities.
