District Collector M Rammohan Rao appealed to the people to come forward voluntarily to make a plastic-free society.
Nizamabad: District Collector M Rammohan Rao appealed to the people to come forward voluntarily to make a plastic-free society.
The Collector toured the Mubaraknagar area and examined the clean and green drive under the aegis of the Nizamabad city administration. He said future generations should not face the pollution caused due to plastic.
He instructed officials to ensure that the tree guards set up to protect the plant. The Collector said that the tree-guards were set up to protect the planted plants as part of the Haritha Haram.
He also directed that proper protection should be provided to all avenue plantations starting from the Nizamabad bypass road within the municipality. He said measures should be taken up to prevent sewerage overflowing in the city.
He asked the sanitary staff to declog the drainages choked due to plastic.Municipal Assistant Engineer Inayat and others were present on the occasion.
