Nizamabad: Educate farmers on best farm practices, dealers told
District Collector M Ram Mohan Rao gave a call to dealers to become partners in the development of agriculture by educating farmers on best farm practices.
Nizamabad: District Collector M Ram Mohan Rao gave a call to dealers to become partners in the development of agriculture by educating farmers on best farm practices. He participated as a chief guest for the certificate distribution programme held at the Pragati Bhavan conference hall here on Friday. Certificates were given to dealers after they completed 48 weeks of training at the Agricultural Extension Services Input Dealership at ICRISAT in Rudrur.
The collector urged dealers to encourage farmers for adopting best methods to get better yield. "Farmers need to be informed about soil and weather conditions, improved irrigation practices, fertiliser use and watering," he stated.
Rao mentioned Nizamabad district has more irrigation facilities than other districts. The programme was attended by ADA Gangadhar and 39 trained dealers from Kamareddy and Nizamabad districts.
