Nizamabad: District Collector M Rammohan Rao said that gender discrimination is not good for humans as it endangers women.
He released posters and pamphlets on Beti Bachao Beti Padao and Avoid Female Foeticide, published by District Medical & Health Department, at Collector's chamber here on Friday.
The Collector asked the DM&HO to increase surveillance on scanning centres and ordered the authorities concerned to ensure that the two sex-determining centres were closed down permanently by a decoy operation.
District Medical Health Officer Dr Sudarshanam, DMO Gangadhar, Dr Venkatesh, Dr Srinivas and others were present at the programme.
