Nizamabad: District Collector C Narayana Reddy said that special summary revision of electoral rolls must be done for the success of the democratic process and this duty should be done without negligence.

On Saturday, he inspected the two-day special voter registration process at Nizamabad Shankar Bhavan and Chaitanya Public School centres as per the directions of the Central Election Commission. He inquired the Booth Level Officer (BLOs) about which forms they need most, they replied that they need Form 6A for new voter registration, to change the name and to remove names of deceased persons from the voter list. He told the staff concerned to cross check the details collected for any errors in the voters list.

The Collector asked the staff to register the details of the deceased, people migrated permanently and newcomers in the voters' list and to complete the relevant forms. It is specifically suggested that all details be entered in the register. Booth level officials and staff were strictly told to be available at the respective polling stations from 8 am onwards on Sunday (November 22).
