Hyderabad: BJP Telangana State, chief spokesperson K Krishna Saagar Rao, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has neither endorsed nor promoted the President of United States Donald Trump at the Howdy Modi event, held at Huston, USA as being alleged by few.

In a statement on Monday, he said that in the process of introducing POTUS, PM Modi has referred to President Donald Trump's Hindi slogan from his 2016 US election campaign.

"He only made that language reference in the context and backdrop of the massive NRI congregation," the BJP leader said. He said that President Trump during his 2016 election campaign had attended an NRI congregation organised by Republican Hindu Coalition at New Jersey.

During the event, Trump had recorded a promotional campaign a tagline in Hindi, similar to that of 2014 BJP election campaign 'Abki bar Modi Sarkar'.

In his own words, Trump has stated 'Abki bar, Trump Sarkar.' And, the Indian prime minister has just made that reference and did not make any promotional statement, Rao said.
