Sangareddy: Man climbs electric pole, walks on high-tension wires to remove branch

A contract worker with the electricity department created panic among the employees when he climbed an electric pole and walked on the high-tension of wires to remove the branch of a tree. The incident occurred at Nizampur in Sadasivapet Mandal of Sangareddy district.

Getting into details, a branch of a tree fell on the high-tension wires due to gusty winds which resulted in a power outage in the area. Officials of the electricity department swung into action to remove the branch. Noor, a contract employee climbed up the pole and walked on the wire with the support of another wire and removed the branch.

Public and electricity officials breathed a sigh of relief when Noor returned to the ground. However, some people criticized the act of the contract employee for climbing up the pole without any safety measures.
