The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has produced 170.82 lakh tonnes of coal in three months this financial year ending June 30, achieving a growth of 17.3 per cent when compared to 145.65 lakh tonnes production in the same period last financial year, said company Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar.

Khammam: The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has produced 170.82 lakh tonnes of coal in three months this financial year ending June 30, achieving a growth of 17.3 per cent when compared to 145.65 lakh tonnes production in the same period last financial year, said company Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar.

In a press note released on Monday, he said this financial year in the first three months 1057.98 lakh cubic meters of Over Burden (OB) was removed when compared to the same period last year which was 989.47 lakh cubic meters thus achieving a growth of 7 per cent.

He said, this financial year 57.13 lakh tonnes of coal was produced in June compared to the same period last year where 49.63 lakh tonnes of coal was produced thus achieving a growth of 15.1 per cent.

He informed that 55.19 lakh tonnes of coal was transported in June this year when compared to 52.72 lakh tonnes in the same period last year thus achieving a growth of 4.7 per cent. Over Burden removal stands at 352.78 lakh cubic meters in June this year and in June last year, it was 277.14 lakh cubic meters recording a growth of 27.3 per cent, he added.

Meanwhile, the Singareni Thermal Power Plant achieved 94.81 Plant Load Factor (PLF) in last three months, he informed.
