Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy inaugurated the ‘Science and Tech’ fair being conducted at Zilla Parishad Boys High School in Wanaparthy on Tuesday.

Wanaparthy: Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy inaugurated the 'Science and Tech' fair being conducted at Zilla Parishad Boys High School in Wanaparthy on Tuesday. The district-level Science fair organised by the District Education Department of Wanaparthy with the theme, 'Science and Technology for Sustainable Development', was named as Jawaharlal Nehru Science, Math and Environment Exhibition, 2019.

After the inauguration, the Minister interacted with the students who explained in detail to the Minister about their experiments and models displayed at the fair.

Later, the district officials also celebrated the 70th year of Indian Constitution and made the students recite the preamble on the occasion. Participating in the programme, the Agriculture Minister congratulated the students and whished them on the occasion of 'Constitution Day',

"The Indian Constitution is a very vast and most comprehensive Constitution in the world. However, in the past 70 years, we have utilised only a part of the provisions provided in the Constitution. There are many things that we have ignored because of which today we are still facing a lot of issues, which is clearly evident going by the prevailing inequality, lack of development and backwardness in the country. It is high time we learn more about our Constitution, about our rights, provisions and privileges and need to achieve them and utilise them to make our lives better," said the Minister.

He also congratulated the district education officials for conducting a successful Science fair, which led to bringing out the hidden talents of the students. "The Science fair is a great opportunity for the students to bring out their hidden talents. Resolving various issues of mankind using science is very important and the students must be encouraged towards achieving this," said the Minister.
