The services being provided by the police personnel to the society are invaluable, said BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar at Smrithi Parade at Karimnagar Police Commissionerate on Monday on Police Commemoration Day.
Karimnagar: The services being provided by the police personnel to the society are invaluable, said BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar at Smrithi Parade at Karimnagar Police Commissionerate on Monday on Police Commemoration Day.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Gangula said that for the safety of the people, the police personnel discharge their duties leaving their families and without caring their health and wealth. It is the responsibility of the people to support such police, who strive hard for the public safe living.
He appreciated the efforts put in by the police personnel and said the police under Karimnagar Police Commissionerate are taking up va ious programmes for maintaining law and order under control like installation of CCTV cameras, deploying lake police and imposing strict rules for preventing anti-social activities.
Additional DCP (L&O) S Srinivas said the police personnel are discharging their duties against terrorists, Maoists and communal powers, who are trying to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the society and as part of that some are even sacrificing their lives. The sacrifices of the police martyrs will not go waste and the police will strive hard for fulfilling their aspirations, he added.
Additional DCP (L&O) Srinivas read out the names of police martyrs, who lost their lives this year while discharging their duties and paid rich tributes to them. Later, Minister Kamalakar distributed prizes to students, who won in various competitions that were organised to mark the occasion.
BJP Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar, District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed, Choppadandi MLA S Ravishankar, MLC Naradasu Laxman Rao, RTO Srinivas, ACPs P Ashok, Shoban Kumar, Srinvas Rao, Inspectors, SIs, and RSIs were present along with others.
