With an aim to provide safety and security to women in Gadwal, the Gadwal police have launched SHE Teams in the district for the first time. As part of the launch programme, KP Laxmi Nayak, Superintendent of Police Gadwal flagged off a two-kilometre run to create awareness among the general public.

As part of the launch programme, KP Laxmi Nayak, Superintendent of Police Gadwal flagged off a two-kilometre run to create awareness among the general public.

"We have been witnessing a lot of atrocities against women across the state.

In Gadwal also, we are having a lot of problems with regard to safety and security of women.

To ensure that no women or girl is harassed, we have launched the SHE Teams in Gadwal.

From now onwards, the women will be provided round--the-clock security as the SHE Teams will keep a vigil at all the major corners of the district," said Laxmi Nayak.

District Revenue Officer Ramulu, along with other police officials and students took part in the 2K run and spread the awareness about SHE Teams.
