Elaborate arrangements were made for celebrating the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna awardee Dr BR Ambedkar on a grand note on April 14 in Rajanna Sircilla district, informed District Collector Venkatram Reddy.

The celebrations will be held at 9 am on Sunday at Ambedkar Circle in Sircilla as per the rules and regulations issued by the Election Commission.
The Collector said that seven special officers were appointed, who have to make the programme a success.
These special officers are - RDO T Srinivas Rao, SC Welfare Development Officer Rajeshwari, DSP N Venkata Ramana (law and order maintenance), Sircilla Municipal Commissioner KV Ramana Chary (decoration of Ambedkar statue and island at Ambedkar Circle), District Panchayat Raj Engineer V Kanakaratnam and District Mining Officer Saidulu (coordination responsibility), and Forest Department Range Officer K Anitha (decoration of dais at the venue).
Collector Venkatram Reddy appealed to the people, representatives of various people's organisations, SC associations and officials of various departments to attend Ambedkar's birth anniversary celebrations in large numbers to make the programme a grand success.
