Reacting over the RTC leaders strike who announced to lay siege to the residences of political representatives, the city commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar said that stringent action will be taken against the RTC workers if they tried to lay siege the residences of MLAs and ministers.
He further asked not to disturb the peaceful atmosphere in the city. Meanwhile, the police set up barricades and tightened the security at the residences of the MLAs and ministers.
"People from different states and countries arrive in Hyderabad for their business purposes and the strikes, rasta rokos will cause inconvenience them," said the CP adding that stern action will be taken if found the RTC workers causing trouble to the citizens.
On the other hand, the RTC workers of Hakimpet and Medchal depot lay siege to minister Eatala Rajendar residence here at Devarayanjal in Shamirpet. Tension also mounted at Errabelli Dayakar Rao's residence in Ram Nagar in Hanamkonda. The police arrested the agitators and sent them to the police station.
