Regional Joint Directors and District Education Officers (DEO) are directed to send the notices to all the schools about the orders issued. The last working day of school is April 23, said Chitra Rama Chandran, special chief secretary, school education commissioner.
In the notice, the department also announced half-day schools in the state. Government, aided and private schools will have half-day schools from March 16 to April 23. The classes will be run from 8 am to 12.30 pm.
