Telangana has become a role model for other states in the country in making use of advanced technology services. "In a span of six years, Telangana policing has stood atop in the country and many police stations in the state including Hyderabad received ISO certification for the best police services," Rao said speaking at press meet in Markook of Siddipet district where the new police station building has been inaugurated.

Harish Rao along with the home minister Mahmood Ali inaugurated the new police station complex in Markook. The police station was built at a cost of Rs 14.96 crore with all the modern facilities including a gymnasium for staff and a guest house.

Later speaking to media, Harish Rao said that the Chief Minister has made his focus on the police system in the state after the state was formed. He launched SHE teams, installed CC cameras and other services to reduce the crime rate which has been now set has a role model for the states.

Several companies including Amazon have set up their units in Hyderabad by keeping in as the law and order situation in the state was under control, Rao said adding that for the first time in the country, the government has accorded 33 per cent reservation for women in the police department.

DGP Mahender Reddy, collector Venkatrami Reddy, Siddipet CP Joel Davis were present.
