A new police station to address complaints on power theft will come up soon at Siddipet and it will be headed by an inspector of police rank officer who will report to the managing director of TSSPDCL.

The orders with respect to the move have been issued by the finance department on Friday and also a GO has been passed for the creation of an inspector post by the Home department. The complaints of power theft are being handled by the TSSPDCL till now. However, those will be now overseen by the inspector of the special police station.

Meanwhile, the Telangana government also gave its nod for the creation of 148 posts in Telangana State Power Generation Corporation Limited (TSGENCO) which will be filled on a deputation basis.

There are 10 posts for assistant commandants, 12 inspectors, 14 sub-inspectors, 36 head constables, 31 male constables and 44 woman police constables.
