The state police registered first 'Zero FIR' on Saturday after a 24-year-old woman went missing in Warangal. The Subedari police station in Warangal registered the FIR and was later transferred to Shayampet police station online.

The woman resides with her family in an area that comes under Shayampet police station limits in the Warangal East Zone of Warangal rural district. While the subedari police station comes under Warangal city police commissionerate.

The Zero FIR was put forward by the Telangana government after a controversy that had erupted in Disha case. Her family alleged that the police refused to receive a complaint in Disha missing and were made to run to another police station over jurisdiction issues.

The Subedari police said that they filed a zero FIR following the Supreme Court guidelines.
