Three accused of killing deer, devouring its meat in Yadadri-Bhongir

Based on the complaint of villagers of Ramaram of Gundala mandal in the district with regard to killing of a deer and consumption of its meat by a few villagers of Kondapuram on Wednesday, Mothkur Forest Range Officer A Soma Narsaiah took up the investigation in the village on Thursday.

Gundala (Yadadri-Bhongir): Based on the complaint of villagers of Ramaram of Gundala mandal in the district with regard to killing of a deer and consumption of its meat by a few villagers of Kondapuram on Wednesday, Mothkur Forest Range Officer A Soma Narsaiah took up the investigation in the village on Thursday.

Neela Yadagiri, Ganagani Sattaiah and Besu Raju of Ramaram informed the forest official that villagers of Kondapuram Neela Ramulu, Neela Dasharatha and Manne Narsimha have set up a net with iron mesh in the lemon garden of Neela Ramulu some three months ago.

A couple of days ago, a deer got stuck in their net. The trio killed it and ate its meat besides selling the meat to a few villagers.

The FRO and his staff recovered remains of the iron mesh in the lemon garden of Neela Ramulu and found bones of the animal at a garbage heap and sent them to forensic lab for tests.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that the trio had fled the village after they got the information of forest officials visit to investigate the incident.
