Most of the party's senior leaders who have lost in the Assembly elections in the district are unhappy with the defected MLAs calling shots with regard to issuing of B-forms for Parishad polls

Kothagudem: The ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders seems to be not on same page when it comes to giving B-forms to the candidates for the upcoming Parishad polls.

There seems to be friction between the MLAs who was entrusted with the job of issuing B-forms to eligible candidates in the district.

The issuance of B-forms has been creating rifts among the TRS leaders who have been awarding the forms to their supporters neglecting the other leaders working for the party.

It may be recalled that the party entrusted the job of issuing B-forms to MLAs to recently defected into TRS from Congress. Taking this as an advantage, the MLAs have been awarding the forms to their supporters leaving out the others.

Kothagudem MLA Vanama Venkateswara Rao's son Vanama Raghavendra Rao is running the show on behalf of his father and issuing B-forms to leaders close to him. This move has raised the hackles of followers of former MLA Jalagam Venkat Rao who was given a raw deal.

Similarly, the recently defected MLAs of Congress Banothu Hari Priya and Rega Kantha Rao of Yellandu and Pinapaka constituencies are favouring their supporters over others. This move is being criticised by the supporters of party's former MLAs.

Reacting on the issue, a senior leader from the party stated that the party was not giving importance to seniors and instead giving the authority to defected MLAs. "The senior leaders have become mere idols in the party without any say," he lamented.
