Hyderabad: The State Government, which is in the midst of a major exercise to formulate its budget 2020, will speed up the process soon after the Union budget was presented on February 1 as the budget session of the Telangana State Assembly would begin from second week of February. This session apart from passing the Financial Bill will devote more time to lash out at the Centre for not releasing funds to the state which had impacted its progress and will also pass a resolution against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), the new Revenue Act and the just-concluded municipal elections.

The budget session is likely to last for two weeks.
