Two notorious thieves held in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Punjagutta police on Friday nabbed two notorious phone snatchers in Hyderabad and Cyberabad Commissionerate limits and other districts of Telangana. The accused persons were identified as Syed Faizan (19) and Shaik Sohail (21).

According to police, a complaint has been lodged by one P Satish Kumar (21), in which he stated that his mobile was snatched by two unknown offenders at Punjagutta X roads on August 4.

On receipt of the complaint police registered a case under section 382 IPC and took up investigation. The duo were arrested on Friday and on thorough interrogation Faizan and Shaik Sohail confessed that they along with their associates committed theft of two wheelers, cell phone snatching and diesel in various police station limits including Medak district and they were also involved in accident case in Shamirpet police station limits.

Police also said that the accused person Faizan is a habitual offender for committing cell phone snatching and two wheelers.

Previously he was arrested in different cases and a PD Act was invoked against him by Hyderabad Police Commissioner. Both the accused were produced before the XIV ACMM Court, Nampally.
