NAGARKURNOOL:The People who were displaced under Palamuru Ranga Reddy Lift irrigation project's Vattam Reservoir, staged a huge protest in front of Nagarkurnool district collectorate on Monday.
According to agitators, it has been more than 4 years now that the villagers in and around voluntarily came forward to give their land towards the construction of the reservoir. But till date the authorities have not paid the compensation to the land looters. Aggregated over the insensitive attitude of the officials they have decided to lay seize to collectorate. Later the agitators sat in front of house of Nagarkurnool MLA Marri Janardhan Reddy and demanded justice.
