A summer camp for the students of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Education Institutions Society (TSWREIS) was organised at TSWRS (G) Shankarpally near Moinabad in Rangareddy district.

Chevella: A summer camp for the students of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Education Institutions Society (TSWREIS) was organised at TSWRS (G) Shankarpally near Moinabad in Rangareddy district. In this camp, the students were taught skills such as communication skills, Child rights and adolescence education.

A Hyderabad -based NGO, VOICE 4 Girls conducted the first Phase of the 'Her Voice Parichay' camp. Duration of this camp was 10 days. The camp introduces adolescent girls to various topics, enabling them to advocate for themselves and their families, and take control of their bodies and futures. As many as 179 students across the 17 locations of TSW Residential Schools from Hyderabad and Rangareddy regions attended this camp.

The Camp coordinator and Principal B Jayamma thanked the Secretary Dr R S Praveen Kumar for organising such summer camp at TSWRS (G) Shankarpally, as it is important for the girls to improve critical knowledge communication skills, to lead better life in their future. The Regional coordinator Dr R Sharadha Venkatesh Hyderabad and Rangareddy (WEST) also guided and motivated the campers on women empowerment.

Hyderabad- based NGO, Voice 4 Girls, conducts educational camps at TSW School in Shankarpally. The 'VOICE 4 Girls is currently conducting the first phase of the 'Her VOICE Parichay'.

Founded in 2012, 'VOICE 4 GIRLS' works for the empowerment of marginalised adolescent girls in Government and low-cost private schools of India- by conducting camps on a biannual basis.

Anusha Bharadwaj, the Executive Director of 'VOICE 4 GIRLS' said, "These girls are all emerging leaders of tomorrow when they equipped with right knowledge, guidance and support can become agents of change.

VOICE camps are both a reminder and a celebration of the power that girls possess. We believe that they are the future the world needs! To conclude the 10-day 'Parichay' camp, valedictory ceremony will be held; where the girls will exhibit not only what they have learnt but will also receive certificates for their participation."

B Srujana, a class 8 student of TSWREIS, Narsingi said, "I want to be a psychologist and talk to people. I have learnt many new words in the camp. I will now use full sentences when I talk in English so when I become a psychologist, I can talk nicely with everyone."

K Mounika, student of Class 8 at Kistapur School said, "I have learnt about how to be proud as a girl. Before I came to this camp, I did not have that much confidence but now I don't feel shy. I want to become the Home Minister and work for everyone.

I can now face all problems because I have confidence." Certificates were presented to all the participants on the completion of the camp. CI Venkateshwarlu was also present during valedictory ceremony.
