It may be recalled here that 28-year-old Disha was gang-raped and killed by Mohammed Arif, Naveen, Shiva and Chennakeshavulu near Shadnagar in Rangareddy district on November 28th night.
The ABVP on Friday celebrated the encounter killing of the four accused by bursting the firecrackers. ABVP leader Punnam Venu heaped praise on Telangana police, especially VC Sajjanar, the Cyberabad Police Commissioner, for instilling a sense of confidence among the women that no culprit will escape from the clutches of law. "The encounter is surely to make women believe that police department is in forefront to protect them," he said.
Derangula Ganesh, Erragolla Bharat Veer, Chandu, Pasha, Kiran, Shivaji, Mitranand and scores of students participated in the celebrations.
Girijana Reservation Porata Samithi (GRPS) activists led by their State President Dharavath Mahender Naik and Vice-President Banothu Bhaskar Naik performed palabhishekam to the flexi of VC Sajjanar, the Cyberabad Police Commissioner. They demanded similar fate to Puli Sai Goud, who molested and killed a teenage girl of Hanamkonda, and RMP doctor M Raju of Julywada, who sexually assaulted a tribal minor girl recently.
In Narsampet town, students of KSR Women's Degree College tied rakhis to police in support of Disha killers' encounter.
