Telangana State Tribal and Women and Child Welfare Minister Satyavati Rathod said that tribal development and welfare is the government's mission. She said that Telangana is at the top in the country in the distribution of Podu land pattas and credited KCR for turning the tribals into farmers. The minister stated that with the increase of tribal reservation by 10 percent, employment opportunities for tribals have increased.

In a statement on the occasion of World Tribal Day on Wednesday, she extended wishes to the tribals and said that the government is working sincerely to remove the backwardness of the tribals like nowhere else in the country and providing all basic facilities to the tribals by sanctioning funds. She said that by recognising each Tanda as a Gram Panchayat, the government has fulfilled the tribal people's dream of self-governance.

The minister acknowledged Chief Minister KCR's contribution in empowering tribals by granting them ownership of forest lands. "The allocation of 4.06 lakh acres to 1.51 lakh poor farmers is a significant step in supporting their livelihoods," she said.

Satyavati Rathod said that they are providing quality education to students by starting gurukula schools and opined that the government has allocated special funds for the Medaram fair and is organizing it very grandly.
