YS Sharmila said that the credit for completing 80 per cent of Sriram Sagar project goes to YS Rajasekhar Reddy. She further said that it was unfortunate the Dikanthan Pally project was left incomplete. "YS Rajasekhara Reddy wanted to turn Warangal as an IT city and the region would have moved ahead on the path of development," she said.

She also termed it as unfortunate the centre denying railway coach factory to Warangal.

"Warangal is said as the cultural capital of Telangana and has played an important role during the Telangana movement," YS Sharmila said.
