1,077 schools in Krishna to get facelift: Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy
Panchayat Raj Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy said the State government would develop infrastructure facilities in 44,512 government schools in the state under YSR Manabadi Naadu-Nedu in three years.
Vijayawada: Panchayat Raj Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy said the State government would develop infrastructure facilities in 44,512 government schools in the state under YSR Manabadi Naadu-Nedu in three years.
Inaugurated the Manabadi Naadu-Nedu programme at Gogineni Pitchaiah Chowdary ZP High School in Manikonda village of Unguturu mandal on Thursday, he said the government has sanctioned Rs1.97 crore for the development of school. Peddireddy said 1,077 schools in Krishna district would get facelift under the programme in the first year.
He said construction of additional classrooms, construction of adequate toilets and compound walls will be taken up under the programme. District Collector Md Imtiaz, Joint Collector K Madhavi Latha, YSRCP leader Yarlagadda Venkatarao, school staff, parents and students were present on the occasion.
