10th class girl commits suicide in Anantapur district
In a tragic incident, a 10th class girl has committed suicide over unable to bear the harassments in the name of love in Anantapur district on Friday.
Anantapur: In a tragic incident, a 10th class girl has committed suicide over unable to bear the harassments in the name of love in Anantapur district on Friday.
The deceased identified as Shanthi Sree (15), who is studying at the central school in Uravakonda here in the district. According to the sources, a person named Hanumanthu is after the girl in the name of love for two years.
Earlier, the victim lodged a complaint, where the police have provided counselling to him. Even after that, Hanumanthu didn't change his behaviour and threatened to kill her if she doesn't accept his love.
Over this, the girl became very upset and committed suicide by hanging herself in the house on Friday morning. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot, shifted the body to hospital for post-mortem.
The deceased family members demand strict action against the accused under the Disha Act. On the incident, the police have registered a case and investigation further.
