2,496 turn up for verification in Visakhapatnam
The certificates verification process for appointment of candidates for the village and ward secretariats took off on Wednesday in a peaceful manner, according to District Collector V Vinay Chand.
Visakhapatnam: The certificates verification process for appointment of candidates for the village and ward secretariats took off on Wednesday in a peaceful manner, according to District Collector V Vinay Chand.
Inspecting the arrangements made at Zilla Parishad Meeting Hall, Vinay Chand said due care was taken to complete the process in a hassle-free manner. The Collector was accompanied by nodal officer and Joint Collector L Shiva Shankar, Joint Collector – 2 M V Suryakala and other officials.
A total of 2,496 candidates attended the process at various centres facilitated for the purpose. Of the 3,456 candidates selected, 960 could not attend the verification process.
Dr L Bullayya College, Dr V S Krishna Government Degree College, among other institutions turned out to be the centres for conducting the verification process for the village and ward secretariat posts.
Aspirants exuded confidence during the process held at various places. Those who could not make it on Wednesday, the officials said that they can take part in the process on Thursday.
