3 die due to lightning in Nellore
Three persons lost their lives due to sudden cloudburst coupled with light-ning instances in two villages of Kaligiri and Kondapuram mandals on Monday evening.

A mother and her son died at Nagasamudram in Kaligiri descending a pall of gloom on the vil-lage. Lalitha, 32, and her son Madhava, 11 and another son Leela Krishna went to agriculture lands for grazing the animals. Suddenly, lightning hit the family in which Lalitha and Madhava died on the spot and the younger one Leela Krishna received severe injuries.
Further, in Renumala in Kondapuram mandal, farmer Praveen Kumar Reddy, 27, who went to the fields for fodder for the pet animals also died due to lightning. Precipitation started suddenly due to thunderstorm activity in the region which finally led to tragedy in two upland mandals.
