Visakhapatnam: A total of 25-108 and 42-104 ambulances with advanced life support systems launched by Tourism Minister M. Srinivasa Rao.

Launching the fleet on the Beach Road, the Minister said it would take 15 minutes for the vehicle to arrive at the incident spot in the urban area and 20 minutes in the rural region. Further, he said it would take 25 minutes to reach the incident scene in Agency areas.

"A total of 1,088 104 and 108 ambulances have been launched by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Of them, a total of 67 (25-108, 42-104) vehicles have been flagged off in Visakhapatnam. The goal is to redefine the healthcare facilities and make it reachable to common man," he said while flagging off the vehicles.

District Collector V. Vinay Chand, Gajuwaka MLA Tippala Nagi Reddy, Health Department officials attended the launch held on Thursday evening.
