Amaravati: The State government has put in place screening and medical facility as part of the plan to test the foreign returnees.

The first batch of foreign returnees, including those from the US, will land in the State on Monday. They will be received at three airports - Gannavaram, Visakhapatnam and Tirupati.

The returnees will be sent to quarantine centres soon after they arrive. All facilities have already been made

During a review meeting with the officials of the Health Department here on Sunday, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the officials to arrange a special transport facility for the foreign returnees from the airport to the quarantine centres.

Officials said that arrangements were made at the three airports for the returnees and all those expenses will be borne by the State government.

Vijayawada Police Commissioner Dwaraka Tirumala Rao inspected the arrangements at the Gannavaram airport on Sunday and held discussions.

Passengers from West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam districts will land at Gannavaram Airport. About 30,000 people have registered their names to return to the State.
