Amaravati JAC leaders on Thursday submitted a representation to Chief Secretary L V Subramanyam demanding the government to scrap the Contributory Pension Scheme and restore the old pension scheme, implement the new PRC and fulfill all other assurances given to the state government employees.

Vijayawada: Amaravati JAC leaders on Thursday submitted a representation to Chief Secretary L V Subramanyam demanding the government to scrap the Contributory Pension Scheme and restore the old pension scheme, implement the new PRC and fulfill all other assurances given to the state government employees.

Amaravati JAC is the association of government employees, teachers, workers and retired employees and comprises the staff of 90 per cent of government departments and corporations.

The JAC leaders, in their memorandum submitted to the Chief Secretary, demanded that the class four employees retirement age should be increased from 58 to 60 years on par with other employees, regularisation of contract and outsourcing staff, merger of APSRTC with the government and increase of retirement age of contract employees from 58 to 60 years. Amaravati JAC secretary TV Phani Perraju, VV Murali, G V Narayana Reddy, D Eswar and Mehraj Sultana were present on the occasion.
