Ananda Babu, Alapati stage stir at DSP office
TDP candidate for Vemuru Assembly constituency Nakka Ananda Babu, party Tenali MLA candidate Alapati Rajendra Prasad and TDP activists staged a protest at Tenali DSPs office on Friday demanding the arrest of Vemuru YSRCP candidate Vemula Nagarjuna.
Guntur: TDP candidate for Vemuru Assembly constituency Nakka Ananda Babu, party Tenali MLA candidate Alapati Rajendra Prasad and TDP activists staged a protest at Tenali DSPs office on Friday demanding the arrest of Vemuru YSRCP candidate Vemula Nagarjuna.
Speaking on the occasion, Ananda Babu said Nagarjuna goaded his party supporters to enter and capture the polling booth in Vemuru, but he was able to foil their attempt. Alleging that the YSRCP candidate had encouraged his activist to attack him during this attempt to capture the booth, he demanded police to arrest Nagarjuna.
Stating that YSRCP activists resorted to violence when they lost hope of victory, he expressed severe displeasure at the poll arrangements. TDP Tenali MLA candidate Alapati Rajendra Prasad withdrawal of cases registered against the Boothumalli villagers immediately and stern action against Vemula Nagarjuna and YSRCP activists who indulged in violence during the polling on Thursday.
He further said that the Election Commission had failed provide working EVMs which is a matter of shame. He expressed confidence that the TDP would come back to power in the state.
