Minister says Post Office has all the facilities that can fulfil present day’s need

Amaravati: Education minister Adimulapu Suresh inaugurated the sub-post office at SRM University-AP campus here on Tuesday. M Venkateswarlu IPoS, chief postmaster general of the AP Circle, T M Sreelatha, postmaster general, Vijayawada region, Prof V S Rao, vice-chancellor of SRM University-AP were present.

The minister said that an ultra-modern post office was established on the SRM-AP campus with all the amenities that can fulfil today's needs. Paperless services, Dakpay, Savings and PPF accounts, PM Schemes, ATM withdrawal are some of the new age and necessary services that the post office is offerings apart from delivering parcels and letters.

Sreelatha spoke about the services the modern post office is offering.

Later, vice-chancellor Prof V S Rao said that it was wonderful to see how post offices have evolved with changing times. He has been presented with a life certificate. Another life certification was done on the spot for minister.

Later, the minister presented passbooks to the new account openers. Vijayawada Post Office Circle director Ranganathan proposed a vote of thanks.
