Vizianagaram: ANMs who are working on contract basis in medical and health department have staged dharna in front of district medical and health officer on Tuesday. They demanded to regularise their services or appoint them in the new recruitment to be held for Grama Sachivalayams .
They said, ``we have been in the service for the past some years and we should be given priority while recruiting the ANMs in Grama Sachivalayams. How the government will take others while we are in service for the past some years.
Our services should be recognised and we should be brought under the purview of labor laws. If any of us is dead, the dependent should be given jobs.'' Later they handed a memorandum to the officers there and urged them to make justice.
