Speaker Tammineni Sitaram on Wednesday suspended 9 TDP MLAs from the AP Assembly for the third consecutive day in a row. The TDP MLAs tried to block Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's speech while he was speaking on the Polavaram project. They rushed into the Well shouting slogans. Speaker Tammineni Sitaram repeatedly reprimanded the MLAs for this and finally, 9 TDP members were suspended for one day. However, along with those who were suspended, other MLAs including Chandrababu Naidu also walked out of the assembly.

Among those suspended were Atchennaidu, Nimmala Ramanaidu, Ravi Kumar, Bala Veeranjaneyaswamy, Jogeshwara Rao, Ramakrishna Babu, Ashok, Angani Satyaprasad and Eluru Sambashiva Rao. Later, CM Jagan said in the assembly that degenerate politics will be seen where Chandrababu is present.

CM Jagan recalled that when the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy became the Chief Minister in 2004, 86 per cent of the land was acquired and the right canal work was carried out on a war footing. He was incensed that the debate was being deliberately obstructed and said that 14 per cent of the work was done during Chandrababu's reign.

He said that YS Rajasekhar Reddy has brought all the clearances for Polavaram. The CM said that only 29.80 per cent of the polavaram works were completed before they came to power. "As soon we have arrived we saved Rs 1,343 crore in reverse tendering," YS Jagan said.
