  • The state had seen worst statistics between 2014-19, he said

Finance minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy on Wednesday released a first white paper on Andhra Pradesh financial position at the secretariat in Amaravati.

He lashed out that the state had seen worst statistics between 2014-19 and said that there is no development in any sector. Reddy also said that the statistics showed by the former government in the agriculture sector are false. "In the last five years, the agriculture sector registered negative growth. However, the fisheries, which is sub-sector of agriculture have seen positive growth," said Reddy.

He added that the state witnessed the highest growth between 2004-09 and worst performance between 2014-19 due to bifurcation and bad governance.

The state which was in Rs 20,000 crore revenue deficit during bifurcation is further pushed into Rs 66,000 deficit by the former government, said Reddy adding that the debts were increased many times in the last five years.
