Disclosing this at Tirumala on Friday, Transport minister Perni Venkataramaiah said that RTC in an effort to check emissions to bring down pollution level on Tirumala hills decided to replace the diesel buses with electrical vehicles
Accordingly, the state-run transport corporation in a phased manner acquire electrical buses for ghat road transport service, he said.
The minister along with TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy participated in a function at Vahana Mandapam, near Tirumala temple held to receive an electrical vehicle donated by Machilipatnam former MP B Ramakrishna to TTD.
