Better services will be provided at Kanakadurga temple: EO
Durga temple executive officer (EO) M V Suresh Babu said the temple management had decided to provide better services for devotees.
Vijayawada: Durga temple executive officer (EO) M V Suresh Babu said the temple management had decided to provide better services for devotees. Speaking to media persons here on Friday, the EO said that the suggestion boxes would be established and signboards with the details and phone numbers of the officials of various departments also would be displayed on the temple premises.
He said that the devotees could contact the officials of departments to solve their problems as well as dropping their suggestions in the suggestion boxes. He requested the devotees to give suggestions for providing better services and for the development of the temple. The temple management has also decided to implement the plastic ban strictly from October 21 onwards.
Suresh Babu said 20 lakh devotees visited the Durga temple and Rs 2 crore donations were received during the period of Dasara Navaratrulu. The whole amount would be deposited in fixed deposit account.
He also said that Bhavani Mala dharana would start from November 8 and relinquishment would start from December 18 to December 22. It is expected that five lakh devotees would visit the temple during the period, he said.
