Kakinada: The Kakinada Municipal Commissioner, K Ramesh has made it clear that Bhaskara Estate Apartments where three pillars were cracked is not suitable for residing as per the report by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University expert team.

He held discussions with the builders, engineers, City Planning Department officials and flat owners of the apartment here on Tuesday. He said that the safety of the residents cannot be put in jeopardy.

Later, he told the media that the experts opined that though advanced technology could help in strengthening the building, it was only a temporary solution and the risk factor remains.

He said that the flat owners and builders presented four to five proposals with regard to the apartment and another meeting would be held for finding out a solution for it. He said that it would be more difficult to demolish the building as there were many buildings in the surroundings of the apartment.

The builders, Rayudu, Chandrasekhar, Flat Owners' Association president Gasngireddy, Town Planning officer Khalesh, GUDA officials and flat owners participated in the meeting.
